*In the Candomblé faith, padê is the offering of food, drinks, or sacrificed animals to the entity (or orixá) Exu, and is performed at the start of all rituals. Saci is a character from Brazilian folklore, a trickster or prankster who takes the shape of a black boy smoking a pipe, wearing a red cap, and with only one leg.
